CI Plus ECP Specification v1.2

The ILA Addendum for ECP introduces enhanced security protection measures, designed to meet the security standards for content requiring Enhanced Content Protection (ECP). The CI Plus ECP Specification v1.2 specification builds upon the CI Plus 1.4 specification to define the requirements for a device suitable for receiving such content. This specification is intended to be used in combination with the appropriate certification process, and subject to conformance by the manufacturers to the ILA Addendum for ECP.

CI Plus ECP Specification v1.3

CI Plus Specification v2.0.1

This specification provides the description of a CI Plus LLP implementation for a device supporting the USB form factor, profiles the TS 103 605 specification, and specifies the form factor(s) (PCMCIA or USB) that such a CI Plus LLP compliant device can support.  

CI Plus Specification v2.0.2

This specification provides the description of a CI Plus LLP implementation for a device supporting the USB form factor, profiles the TS 103 605 specification, and specifies the form factor(s) (PCMCIA or USB) that such a CI Plus LLP compliant device can support. The CI Plus Specification v2.0.2 updates CI Plus Specification v2.0.1, introducing the support for Operator Profile V3 (as mandatory) and support for Overt Watermarking (as optional).

CI Plus Supplementary Specification v1.5

This document is intended to Service Operators making use of the CI Plus technology and intending to enforce revocation on their network. The document provides guidance on how to constitute a revocation carousel and how to signal it, making use of predefined CI Plus descriptors that can be imported in operator’s network (SI) signalling.

CI Plus Specification v1.3.2

The DVB Common Interface specifications CENELEC EN 50221 and ETSI TS 101 699 describe a system whereby a removable Conditional Access CICAM, given the appropriate rights, unscrambles protected content and routes it back to the Host over the same interface. The DVB Common Interface specifications were extended by the CI Plus specification v1.3.2, developed by CI Plus LLP, which provides common methods (i.e. methods that are independent of the up-stream CA system) for mutual authentication of the CICAM and Host, and link encryption over the return interface from the CICAM to the Host. TS 103205 specifies extensions to the CI Plus V1.3.2 specification.

CI Plus Specification v1.4.3

The CI Plus Specification v1.4.x provides the description of a CI Plus LLP implementation based on the TS 103 205, Bluebook A173-2 and CI Plus 1.3 specification, pulling together those specifications and specifying what parts need to be implemented in order to realise a device compliant with CI Plus LLP. This specification is intended to be used in combination with the appropriate certification process, and subject to conformance by the manufacturers to the CI Plus Compliance and Robustness Rules. The CI Plus Specification v1.4.3 updates CI Plus Specification v1.4.2, with the introduction of the CI Plus 2nd Root of Trust.

CI Plus Specification v1.4.4

The CI Plus Specification v1.4.x provides the description of a CI Plus LLP implementation based on the TS 103 205, Bluebook A173-2 and CI Plus 1.3 specification, pulling together those specifications and specifying what parts need to be implemented in order to realise a device compliant with CI Plus LLP. This specification is intended to be used in combination with the appropriate certification process, and subject to conformance by the manufacturers to the CI Plus Compliance and Robustness Rules. The CI Plus Specification v1.4.4 updates CI Plus Specification v1.4.3, introducing the support for Operator Profile V3 (as mandatory) and support for Overt Watermarking (as optional)

License Agreements

CI Plus MOST Device Interim License Agreement

The CI Plus MOST Device Interim License Agreement is a specific variant of the CI Plus Device Interim License Agreement targeted to automotive Host Licensees.

CI Plus Content Distributor Agreement

The Content Distributor Agreement is intended to bring Operators into partnership with CI Plus licensees, with a common objective of providing an addressable market for pay TV based on horizontal market products that recognises the interests of both ends of the value chain. The Agreement is by and between CI Plus and the Operator (CDA Partner).

CI Plus Device Interim License Agreement

The CI Plus Device Interim License Agreement entitles Licensees to access and use certain security elements, authentication certificates, specifications, software, and test materials to develop and manufacture compliant Hosts and/or Modules. The Agreement is by and between CI Plus LLP and the Licensee.

CI Plus ILA Addendum for ECP

The (optional) ILA Addendum for ECP entitles Licensees to access and use certain security elements, authentication certificates, specifications, software to develop and manufacture ECP Hosts and/ or Modules, compliant with the CI Plus ECP Specification. The Agreement is by and between CI Plus and the Licensee. The ILA Addendum for ECP is an addendum to the ILA and cannot stand alone.

Guidelines

CI Plus Logo Guidelines v3.0

These CI Plus Logo Guidelines describe how the CI Plus Logo, CI Plus ECP-1 Logo and CI Plus ECP-2 Logo must be used by the Licensee to promote products and related support materials.

CI Plus Implementation Guidelines v1.1

The CI Plus Implementation Guidelines supplements the CI Plus Specification and the CI Plus Device Interim License Agreement and provides further information on the expected implementation of the CI Plus specification.
