I am new to this forum so please forgive any repetition.

We are implementors of an MHEG engine that is being used in CI+ solutions and have some questions about the specification.

12.2.2.3 States that the application should shall start with the default components. The DBook defines two URL strings used to inherit the A/V
• The OctetString "rec://svc/def" maps the multiplex to the service most recently tuned to.
• The OctetString "rec://svc/cur" maps the multiplex to the service currently being received.

Which of these should be used by the application?
We are consider the implications when another application is running and has control of the MPEG decoder and has changed A/V from the default components. If the app plays "rec://svc/def" it would attempt to change the components rather than continuing with the current components.

The current displayable components i.e. rec://svc/cur
The intention is that the streaming components are not altered and the engine uses the standard MHEG mechanism to keep the components displayed.
